    FSA delay

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the United Kingdom previously confirmed a go-live date of Monday, September 21, 2009 for the transaction reporting of OTC derivatives and complex derivatives using Alternative Instrument Identifiers (AIIs).

We regret to inform you that on Friday, July 17, 2009 the FSA informed Xtrakter of its intention to post-pone this initiative, in the light of difficulties in rolling out the FSA system for processing AII transaction reports.

The FSA have not specified a revised go-live date but anticipate that it will not be earlier than the final weeks of the year.  The FSA have informed Xtrakter that they will take into consideration the year end 'code freeze' period that operates currently.

Xtrakter has been advised the FSA will come back with a revised date as soon as possible and hope to be in a position to inform the industry by the end of August.

The FSA apologise for the postponement.
