Yannic Weber is Chief Executive Officer of Euroclear UK & Ireland and Xtrakter. Furthermore, Mr Weber is a Board member of Euroclear Bank, Euroclear UK & Ireland and Xtrakter. He is also a member of the Euroclear Group Management Team.

Previously, Mr Weber was Managing Director and head of Euroclear's Commercial division, responsible for client relationship management, marketing and the client contact centre.  

In 1994, Mr. Weber joined Euroclear’s Commercial division as a director and, two years later, was promoted to Managing Director and head of Relationship Management. Mr. Weber spent three years, from 1991 to 1994, on secondment to the London office of J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd.  He held various positions there, including Product Development Manager for the Exchange-Traded Products group, where he was responsible for the marketing of clearing services for futures and options.

 He joined Euroclear in 1983 to work in the Custody division. In 1987, he was promoted to head the New Issues and Custody department, where he was involved in the development of domestic market links and the acceptance of euro commercial paper and global bonds within Euroclear.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Weber was a tax advisor for Touche, Ross & Co., having trained as a specialist tax lawyer.
